In an alternate universe, I am a blackjack dealer in a casino. I wear sparkly rings that flash in the lights and do a hand jive as my career--swoosh, I'm clearing the green felt table of cards...flip, flip, flip, flip, I'm laying out cards. Swish, flip. I collect chips, pile them neatly, tap, tap, tap, laid out clearly for the cameras. I know all the hand signals that tell the pit bosses just what I'm doing, I know all the gestures, and my fingers do it automatically, like sign language. I stand there, looking bored, while my hands gracefully labor away. It's a dream job.
